Nutra-Net is a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization that delivers nutrition education messages in a fun and interactive way to reach kids more effectively, through cooking! Our materials are easy-to-follow from step-by-step leader guides for adult leaders to pictorial cookbooks for the youngest of children. Featuring healthy recipes that are low-cost and easy to make, the cooking activities teach children valuable lessons about choosing more nutritious snacks and meals!

Nutra-Net is a nonprofit organization that has been teaching healthy, quick, low-cost cooking for over 28 years to children and families from low-income households in the greater Kansas City area.
Our mission is to empower children and families from diverse backgrounds with the knowledge and skills to plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks that promote lifelong wellness and reduce the risk of disease.

10/28/2011 - Women's Foundation of Greater KC Funds Teen Health Mentor Program
Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City funds the Teen Health Mentor program at Ruskin High School (Hickman Mills School District) and William Chrisman High School (Independence School District). The program provides skills to teen girls that expose them to the career fields of Dietetics, Culinary Arts, and Teaching to help promote financial stability in their future years.
Nutra-Net’s Registered Dietitian is assisting Head Start menu changes and staff and parent trainings throughout the Kansas City area, thanks to funding by the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC).
10/10/2011 - Nutra-Net is Scheduling Girl Scouts ClassesNutra-Net is currently scheduling Girl Scouts classes! Our Registered Dietitian travels throughout the KC metro to deliver fun classes for Brownies and Juniors. For more information, call 816-836-2646.
